Indian pavilion

India pavilion in expo 2020

The pavilion for India at the expo 2020. Well, India has really taken a leap in the past few years, and this Expo 2020 is going to see India come of age. This is the first time that India will have a pavilion at Expo 2020. One of the responsibilities of the pavilion designer is to create a strong brand identity for the expo. We have designed a logo showcasing Indian culture. The team has also worked hard to come up with the theme of Expo 2020 – “Future City”.

The responsibility of the pavilion designer

a designer is only successful when they are involved in the actual design work and taking care of the people who are going to visit the expo. They are responsible for making the Expo the greatest show ever by the use of creativity and color.

There are 2 sides

One side is the public and the other is the private side.

The public side is designed keeping in mind the requirements of a wide range of people, including children, families, travelers, professionals, government officials, and media. This site will be a space for the people to participate. On the other side is the private side. It is designed only for the members of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and state governments. The identity of this pavilion is expressed in the way the colors are used.

The India pavilion at Expo 2020

The background of this emblem represents the rising sun, representing the sun that rises in the east and sets in the west. It is a representation of India’s engagement with the world through its participation in world exhibitions. The emblem shows the star of India, a mythical symbol that is considered to be a pointer for navigating in the night. It is also a reminder of the growing status of India as a nation.

Expo 2020 is being held in two phases – the first phase is starting from October 2020 and is expected to end in April 2021. The exhibition will be open to the public. This fair will showcase the next century of human development.

Creating a brand identity for the expo

The team has done an amazing job in the creation of the new Indian identity. The idea is to use our rich heritage and history in order to make a positive statement about our nation. If you look at our identity, you will understand what we are trying to say. The idea is to use our rich heritage and history in order to make a positive statement about our nation.

These posters were handcrafted using digital & traditional mediums. This project by Team Verulam for us was a real learning curve in terms of digital art & typography, being a first-time digital artist in the team.

Responsibilities of the design

We have worked hard to come up with a visual identity for the expo. We have created a new logo, a stencil, and a brochure. The brochure showcases some of the common heritage of India.

The theme of the expo 2020

To create this identity for the expo, we need to break the glass ceiling and display India on the global stage. The theme for the expo 2020 is Future City and hence we have put a lot of focus on the futuristic concept of this concept. It is about the technology used in infrastructure, the environment, and buildings. The ‘Motherland’ series of lines work very well with the expo 2020 as well.

The connection of text and graphic

The “Motherland” series of lines is based on lines of life – mother and child. But here, the scale is different and hence the lines do not sit side by side. The idea is to show that an individual can be connected to all the countries of the world. The lines are really long in the beginning and end with the continuation of space between.
